Opposed to what, taking cover and emptying their clips while they still had a good shot? Only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun and all.
Do remember that during the video being shared of him being chased, he had already shot someone in the head. The man with the handgun is the third person he shot from what I can tell, and there were no shots fired at the shooter period.
True, no shots fired! He should have ran faster! I feel bad for him because I was chubby at his age.

Thanks. From the 1st video, They are yelling " shooter" before they go after him, so they are chasing him because they THINK he is a shooter to disarm him. THEN he starts shooting people and you can hear someone yelling " F* bomb + racial slur N* !!" In the second part of the first video, You have the guy screaming " he's not the shooter!" so they were already looking for a shooter before this 2nd shooting, so what happened prior to that? According to the footage they were showing him, he murdered a guy prior to them chasing him saying when he said " so he was the shooter from the first time". So they chased him in the first place, because he had already fired his gun because they wanted to disarm him so he couldn't kill anyone else. Then he started shooting all over the place after he fell down. So there were 2 shootings, and he did BOTH.
The other video it is unclear what happened prior to when he ran over by the cars then turned around and panicked and shot at the people near him and that was the first shooting? So then he runs away when the people start coming to disarm him after he just murdered someone. The people chasing him after that were risking their own lives to keep him from murdering anyone else. He is a stupid Kid that Should have never been there that just threw his life away, because there is likely no way he isn't going to be charged as an adult.

Running after the kid shooting people is how they have saved numerous lives in multiple shootings in the US thus far, so yea, you can expect it to happen at this point. Those running after the shooter are trying to keep them from murdering anyone else and are willing to give their lives to do so.
Yeah there was a first shooting, Revnak corrected me on this. I can send it to you as well. He ran away from someone that was chasing him then did a 180 and shot him in the head. It was unreal
The other video is first I presume and is the initial shooting (not interested in watching them, I’ve seen enough), he was the shooter they were looking for.
Trying to disarm somebody with a gun is always ill-advised. Noble? Sure. Risky? Absolutely. Are you going to die? Highly likely.
If you win a medal, it's going to end up pinned on your coffin.
All this to say, if being shot while trying to disarm someone else is "well duh, that was the most likely outcome", then that also means that shooting whoever is trying to disarm you should also be what a reasonable person would do, regardless of whether or not they were out for blood.
Nobody in the world is going to just going to let a civilian stranger wrench a gun from their hands without reacting.

I got it. Something happened prior to him running by the cars, he panicked and shot at the people close to him that were chasing him, obviously at least hitting one. Then instead of give up his gun at that point, he runs off screaming he didn't shoot anyone with them chasing him like they were somehow going to believe that after he just murdered someone then falls down and just shoots at anyone and everyone at that point. Yea, he's done for. The fact he was trying to act like he didn't shoot anyone after he just did that makes me wonder if this was the first time this happened to him..
Yea, and now I am sure he is the next new action hero of the far right inspiring the next stupid white kid to go arm themselves and shoot people at protests.. As if I wasn't nauseated enough. Where does it end?

Houseman, you might not remember the time someone suggested that it's correct to try to take an officers gun and after I said that was stupid I got dog-piled by 8 people telling me I was wrong.

You are talking about a trained officer that should actually be trained for that situation, not a dumb kid who could be any school shooter. They have taken down a number of less trained shooters by distracting them, charging them and taking them off guard, however. Yes, it is stupid to charge a shooter without a plan and some serious cover. Yes it has and can still work though it is far from advised and you should fully understand that you likely will die in the process. I have, however, seen people charge shooters successfully at my cousins, but they also made a plan and the bulldozer front welded to the front of the semi was a big help. But that was the hood and the people there are all insane. I stayed at a safe distance away from their madness while visiting my grandma tucked behind the steel plates they have nestled in the bushes and the bulletproof glass..
