Its a pretty great show, but I do need to get around to watching season 4.

I do find it interesting that the director of this film made this to show how children are exploited through this kind of thing... but the people defending the movie hold the opposite view, that it's great for children to be sexual.

No, projecting your own thoughts onto the children is on the person who is projecting their thoughts to change, not the children. Projecting the sexualization is what is wrong, not what the kids are actually doing. Nothing they are actually doing involves actual sex, that is in your own head. The connection to dancing and sex is in your head, it doesn't actually exist.
For example, even in native cultures where both males and females run around topless, there is nothing inherently sexual about being topless, just because they are walking around topless all the time doesn't mean they think about sex any more or less often than anyone else. The sexualization of the body is a projection rather than it actually existing. Tribes running around like that as normal are not doing anything wrong, it is a projection of your own thoughts and beliefs that are telling you it is somehow wrong. I am condemning the projection of one's own religious beliefs upon to the children. The kids are not thinking what you are thinking. Just let them be kids.
You are the one actually sexualizing them by projecting your thoughts, there is nothing about their actions that is actually about sexual intercourse here. It is in your head, not theirs, so they are not the one who needs to adjust themselves, you are. You had it so messed up that you were seeing sex into everything they did, even when they pounded their fists on the floor.. like seriously.

That was not actually about sex at all, it was her angry and lashing out about him taking the phone and treating her like a kid, She was trying to " prove" she was not a "kid" because she started her period, but the act of her doing so was only going to show how much of a kid she still truly was.. She had her mother and aunt telling her she was a woman while still having them and everyone else treating her like a kid. She was terribly confused and emotional and wasn't sure what to even understand. The girl was still a virgin, she didn't understand any of it really. She thought when her family told her she was now a woman that meant she was supposed to act like a woman, but she didn't even understand what that meant.
Again you are trying to tie actual intercourse to just the body itself and a vulva existing does not mean that is all about intercourse. When you actually view her in the proper context of her being a confused emotional kid, it makes it a hell of a lot less sexual than trying to project something more sinister on to her that doesn't exist. To understand an emotional kid going through these things you have to see it through her eyes and in the context of what she is going though and the situation that actually happened there. Do you have any idea the amount of hormones that girls get pumped with when their period starts? They are an emotional wreck, and not about sex, but instead feeling all emotions at once, thus why teen girls are often angry, upset and erratic tbh. Did you actually watch the movie? If you had, you should have known that already.
