Those games are made for PC and Xbox360. Therefore its easy to design. Microsoft is happy and you increase the likelihood that someone with both systems will buy the game possibly even on both systems.

Jericho I thought was way underrated for the PC. Its cheesey good and the graphics are pretty nice.

I lasted until some underground level in Gear of War before falling asleep at the keyboard. More then I can say about Assasin's Creed which was god awful IMO.
