Man you couldn't be more right about this. MOO3 was such a let down in so many ways it's unreal. At least the graphics and concepts were nice but the more or less inevitable population victory always super pissed me off.
I definitely hear what you're saying Madman. I switched over to the PC right after the Playstation 2 and when it comes to the gaming culture I definitely feel more and more out of touch. For you it must be like living on another gaming planet!
This episode touches on the idea that this...
So to condense what you're saying... Sega puts out shovelware to boost the sales of it's high quality games? To control situations like what happened to little big planet? (Lower than expected sales believed to be due to a strong market with a lot of good games out)
The price thing stuck out to me. I remember when I was a kid saving up money for a nintendo 64 and it took awhile but at least it was in reach. Families near the poverty line probably can't even consider some thing like the next gen consoles even if a young boy tried save his allowance.

You know this isn't some sort of new hoax or any thing. Even 16bit games had predetermined out comes. Usually though there was a signal that let you know it was about to happen "The boss was just way too strong". I'll name a few... It happened in Chrono Trigger (Golems Fight) and a few times in...
Any one know where to find some good video game MP3 files? I've been playing Fallout 3 recently and I've been adding music to it. (The wasteland NEEDS violins!) But I haven't had much luck finding a good place to grab some good music from say Chrono Trigger or even Morrowind.
The real issue for paying $10.00 for content like this is that it doesn't even compare in scope to paying $49.99 for say thirty or forty hours of game play. But if you've bought both of the DLCs for Fallout 3 you're probably lucky if you've got six extra hours. It's like paying double the price.
