I haven't touched it since Alpha, but I thought it was absolute garbage. Fundamentally it just seemed completely broken; the kind of broken that can't be explained away with "it's not finished yet".

The game was doomed as soon as they decided to make it F2P instead of retail. The beta is a mess and it's going to crash and burn.

But does it still require Origin? I could deal with always-on connection, so long as it doesn't require Origin. Otherwise, I'll continue avoiding it like the plague.

Yeah...I did a double take when I read that and had to check Wikipedia to reassure myself. I'd like to know where the Escapist got that impression. I don't understand how they can point out two games that Valusoft had nothing to do with, since neither are mentioned in the articles linked.

Isn't the whole point of a RPG to -roleplay-? Oh sure you can be a mystical warrior or mage in a land far far away, but god forbid your character's sex is different! Why enforce a gender? And using Facebook of all things is just pathetic. This is going to fail miserably.

I could have put up with required always-on connection. I might have even been able to put up with enforced multiplayer. But requiring Origin? Guess I have 60 bucks to spend somewhere else now.

How the -hell- could anyone think that would be even remotely okay?
