I can relate to concealing most of my geeky interests. Yet in spite of my best attempts I only have a few friends, mainly because I firmly believe that reading books on history and gaming are a better use of my time than clubbing and rugby.
The 'just following orders' defence is BS. It proves that the person saying it is too stupid, immoral or weak-willed to do what is right, by opting to do what is 'correct'.
Well I'm incredibly shy, hate the feeling of being judged and that last little bit of 'New Zealand syndrome' that I still have.
