I think it's to set an atmosphere. Remove the filters on Fallout 3 and NFS Most Wanted and it will loose the sinister and isolated feel. I always used a soft focus filter on my camera to make my crappy photography skills look better with the least amount of effort.

Fable 2 was short and easy. Looks like Lionhead forgot their fans and catered more for the casual gamer. BTW is'nt your review a bit of spoiler, but then again everyone should have finished the game by now.

Need for Speed Pro Street.......
Many believed it was the worst NFS to date. I played it without looking at the name of the game and to be honest there is something great about it except for the performance issues.
...and here i am thinking it's already WW3. I hope some country will one day invade Africa so we can enjoy the spoils of 4mb line speed and Xbox 360 live support.
