Mine is about 2 years old now. I bought an elite I think a year after the 360 was released, and it died on me after I had just bought a new game and was about to try it out (that was a lot of fun). I've had the same one since then, although I think it's on its last legs now too.
I was playing Assassin's Creed 2 a few days ago with a friend, and I was chasing a messenger (one of the guys you need to tackle to get money) and somehow, he froze on a ledge. So we tried to knock him off anyway we could, and once we succeeded he just teleported back to where he was.
A good month or two. When I bought Fable 2, I put it into my xbox, and got the RROD. So I called Microsoft, and they told me they'd send me a box to send it in, and three weeks later they didn't send me a box. So eventually, I just sent it in my own box, and the box that they sent came the next...
The first real game I played, (other then stupid educational ones) was the first Doom on the pc. Not sure how old I was, but I was really impressed by the graphics, and all the blood and gore.
It would never work if it was all the same controls, because whenever a game wants to put in a new game mechanic, like Dark Void's use of a jet-pack, the MW2 controls wouldn't work.
