True enough. Straight people naturally don't notice, but homosexuals get almost no honest representation in any form of media. It's either the drag queen or the rapist.

I would play a game especially if the main the character was gay.

People think video games are childish for the same reason they think comics, anime, toy collections, model building, and role-playing is childish. It's a nerdy niche-market. Just because they don't understand how deep games can really be doesn't mean you have to get all offended about it. :P

I think most developers would probably consider remaking a game to be a huge waste of time and creativity (in having to update all the art styles). While fans may appreciate it, just think of how boring it would be to be the people updating the game itself?

I'm not going to read this whole thread but here's what I have to say about the game: Half-Life 2 merges art, gameplay, and the correct level of difficulty seamlessly. The only thing I wish it contained more of was the difficult puzzle solving from the first game.

I thoroughly enjoyed leveling to max the first time through (and then to 70 once Burning Crusade was released), but end game is a big let down in my opinion. Blizzard has, since the game's initial release, worked to improve end-game diversity, but it's just too much of a grind fest. I thought...
