I strongly doubt going any higher-spec in a laptop (or even a desktop, for that matter) would be in any way financially sensible. I'd say you're about as future-proof as you can or should reasonably be - heck, I'd put the performance sweet spot a bit lower than what you've already got. Enjoy...

I don't think Humble Bundle has ever had any offer that wasn't at least worth the token buck. For what it's worth, I find Serious Sam quite enjoyable for that no-brains over-the-top gun-blazey shooting action of bygone ages, and a hell of a lot of fun with friends over voice chat or, preferably...

I might be drunk (or confused on the man's genealogy), but isn't Gabe Newell closer to the Australian Santa Claus (or Father Christmas, psh) than the Austrian one? Also, I haven't seen Greenlight being pushed much myself, outside of the Kickstarters I've thrown money at.

For me it's convenience (ease of access as they're all in one place), social integration (chat) and the whole 'collector's' appeal of seeing this massive games library you have access to just by opening a window. i'm sure there's some interesting social processes behind the collector's appeal...
