While I don't think you need a joystick to play SF, I think it would have been nice for Capcom to offer a package that included a joystick (like Namco did with Tekken 5).
Try not to let things that small "destroy" your good time. Yes, it is annoying, but the internet is a public swimming pool, and you have to learn how to deal with people acting like fools without getting upset.
