    Where Are The WW1 Games?

A better question: Where are the American Revolution games? FIRE! *flip musket* *pull apart cartridge* *load gunpowder into muzzle* *insert paper wadding* *load musket ball* *load upper cartridge* *insert ramrod into musket barrel to tamp down ball, wadding and gunpowder*...

    Castle Crashers

Castle Crashers is a good deal deeper than any webgame I played. Also, in reply to the comment farther up, the art style really isn't anything like Okami at all. No Japanese watercolor stylings, and Castle Crashers isn't even 3D.

The 7th Generation: A Big "Meh"?

A game is more than just the sum of its individual parts and whether or not it was the first to do any single one of those elements; a game's quality lies in how it combines its various elements into a cohesive whole. Gears of War was simply a new implementation and combination of all the...

The 7th Generation: A Big "Meh"?

I think what you're seeing this generation is more blurring of the lines between genres and a lot more crossing over of gameplay elements: RPG elements being mixed with beat-em-ups and shooters, fantasy elements added to , and so on. It doesn't always combine into something that feels new, but...

When was the last time you cried and/or teared up during a video game?

Cried at the FMV at the ending of Final Fantasy IX; that's the last time I remember.

The 7th Generation: A Big "Meh"?

The generation that has (less than halfway in) so far produced BioShock, Gears of War, MGS4, GTAIV, Super Mario Galaxy, Rock Band, Smash Bros. Brawl, Call of Duty 4, and a bunch of others, to say nothing of a lot of really nice downloadable games, is horrible? Gamers really are spoiled people.

Poll: realistic vs unrealistic in video games

I find that almost all of the games I'm a big fan of have some element of fantasy to them, to varying degrees, whether it's a game with realistic people but unrealistic settings/enemies such as zombies, monsters etc., or a totally stylized game like Zack & Wiki or Mario.

Your total nerd moment as a gamer

I cried at the ending of Final Fantasy IX. Just sobbed like a reunited army wife. Fortunately, I was alone at the time.

What was the last game you finished?

I finished BioShock on hard recently to round up the last of the 1100 achievement points, but I'd already finished it before. The last game I finished for the first time was either Eternal Sonata or No More Heroes.

I have 2000 Wii points. What should I get?

And then a VGA adaptor so you can play the game on your TV the way it's meant to be played, and a controller so it feels right too. Wait, no. It's cheaper to just buy it on VC.

    Poll: Should I Buy A PS3?

An unproven game that very likely does not have universal appeal? I'm looking forward to it myself, but I don't think it ends anything.

    Okami

You need to give it more time. As for the graphics style, it's made to emulate a Japanese watercolor, and it does that, extremely well. Perhaps you simply don't like that style of artwork.

    Poll: Should I Buy A PS3?

If you're interested in Blu-ray, then yes. It's still one of the best deals around in a Blu-ray player, and of course you get much more in the bargain. If you're not, I don't think the game selection is quite up to par with the competition.

    I made that

    Exactly.
