Yahtzee hasn't said that much about the Metroid series in general, but it doesn't surprise me that he has good things to say about Metroid Prime. Back in the "Turok" review, he presented Metroid Prime 1 as an example (or should I say, THE example) of a good console FPS.

Every time Link plays the recorder, he plays that tune. He gets the recorder in the fifth dungeon.

Technically, the tune that Luigi played came from the original Legend of Zelda. And the recorder looks similar too. (Ocarinas didn't show up until A Link to the Past.) I loved all the shout-outs, too. I don't think we've seen the last of Link, given that he is still twitching on the floor...
