I don't think it was the darkness because I remember playing it on a pc. The game style was like that but I played it on the pc and the setting was different.

I remember a game where you had like bloody snakes on your back and you can control it. You lost control in the start and your body like exploded your back and then it started killing everything near you. Then you started learning how to control it and you had missions were u had to kill a bunch...
