    Poll: Fast zombies.

I've still got to disagree. In films the slow zombies have always scared me more, mainly because the tactic you suggest never ever works - you do get over-run eventually. In the short term you feel safe, that you can keep them away, but in the end everything you do is futile and it takes a long...

    Poll: Fast zombies.

I prefer slow zombies. Fast zombies make you run, and you might just get caught, or you might end up holing yourself up somewhere and then trying to run only to get caught again. The slow zombies give a sense of complacency. You will hold up in a building with supplies waiting for the fuss to...

    DRM: A Different Approach

I had "Beyond Good and Evil" and "I-Ninja" installed at the same time. Whenever I tried to run "I-Ninja" (I'm not sure if I tried running BGE while IN was installed) it started running it's copy protection routine then after a short while I got a blue screen detailing a failure in the NVidia...

Poll: Dungeons and Dragons 4th EDon'tion

I quite like 4th Edition - 3.5 was completely broken (apparently) and I prefer to spend hours killing things and having fun than spending hours just talking and not having fun.

Would you play a game for the storyline?

It does sound like FF12, but unfortunately the story stayed boring all the way through too.

    DRM: A Different Approach

I've got to disagree with that sentiment: I think they should get rid of the DRM software they use - I view installing software secretly and without your consent to be immoral and possibly illegal. That's not even considering the potential damage it causes (due to a conflict between two...

Poll: What do you think of your job?

Since I got my current job I have gained two (yes, two) degrees. I think it's not too much to want a job that actually uses my skills and qualifications.

Poll: How old are you DS owners?

19-22, until June. I'm quite tempted to buy it, but I'm too poor at the moment.

    2012, Mayan end date.

Maybe their number system only went that high? Though, if that were the case, then someone would have noticed it. Since they were great astronomers, then if it is significant, it will probably be an astronomical event. Destruction of the world? Doubtful. Encountering an alien race? How could...

The most monotonous game you have ever played

FFXII and Kingdom Hearts spring to mind. Also, any MMORPG, basically. They give "daily grind" a whole new meaning.

PC trouble - FF7 refuses to play...

Yeah, that was a shame. However, you can download a mod that allows you to set your own soundtrack, be it a rip of the original or even a rip of the AC soundtrack.

    Pokemon: Gotta X-Ray Them All

Wouldn't they squirm around trying to see the pictures rather than sitting still under the bit that takes the x-ray?

PC trouble - FF7 refuses to play...

Did you try the "Chocobo Patch"? I have to use it whenever I install it - it originally fixed some bug to do with the Chocobo Races, but it also had other beneficial side-effects. I recommend visiting qhimm.com, which hosts pretty much all of the patches and the mods.

Worst Final boss fights. (possible spoilers)

I also must vote for Ultemecia from FF8 as has been said - she was pretty tough unless you managed to exploit the easily exploitable game mechanics (or happen to be lucky enough to cast that spell which automatically makes you win the battle) but the main gripe for me is that defeating the main...

    Why is fire not alive?

Hmmm, well, I remember a pneumonic for the things that a life form needs to do: Mrs F Beg - Move, Reproduce, Sense, Feed, Breathe, Excrete, Grow Certainly, move, feed, breathe, excrete and grow can be considered, but what of reproduce and sense? Does a fire reproduce, really? If a flame...
