I feel the same way about karma systems in games today.
There needs to be a game where a player can roll play towards a character goal such as the example shown in today's review. A person can't be 100% good or evil, but will gain titles that effect other NPCs/Factions in a variety of ways...
I haven't really noticed a game that does corporate whoring since TMNT 2 for the NES with Pizza Hut ads. I guess it was at least relevant unlike pepsi, unless the Bionic Commando used it to fuel his arm or something >_<
