The only reason I used WinAmp as long as I did was global hotkeys. Finally the bloat just got too heavy and I had to change. I found AIMP which has global hotkeys, and looks/functions very similar to WimAmp 2.x, just more powerful and no bloat. It's still being pretty regularly updated too...
