Well I'm trying to compile a compendium of essential knowledge a video game connoisseur should be familiar with prior to entering the professional world of videogaming. Such a compilation however, I would need help from true connoisseurs since hopefully it is to be made available to everyone...

I am using Avira and have had no complaints so far. It is free and downloadable. I also use Spybot S&D and Malwarebye's along with Firefox with Adblock and noscript addon to browse the Internet to protect myself as a few extras.
