Miracle of Sound: The Best of Us (The Last of Us)

That does help me understand. Thanks a lot, Gavin. :)

Miracle of Sound: The Best of Us (The Last of Us)

I'm feeling like I'm *this* close to 'getting' the song... but somehow I feel I can't quite put it together. The lyrics allude to giving up what you once were, shedding who you once were and your old sense of right and wrong, in order to stay strong and resolute after the world has ended. But...

Miracle of Sound: Dream of the Sky (BioShock: Infinite)

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. This has got to be the best yet. Seriously. I knew you were fantastic at making songs in all kinds of genres, but I wouldn't have dreamed it was even possible to put them together like that. You are a talent, Gav. An absolute talent, and I'm proud to have bought Level 3.

Katawa Shoujo - Most intriguing storyline?

I've played through them all, and I must say it was Rin's story that affected me the most strongly. It was damn painful, watching her put herself through all that, and desperately struggling to understand why.

Are Australian spiders really that big?

Wouldn't it have to though? I'm pretty sure a spider with a six-inch-long body wouldn't be able to breathe properly.

Are Australian spiders really that big?

The big spiders are the bird-eating tarantulas, which we do have, though they're not as big as South America, I think. They're also mostly found out bush anyway. We do, however, have the most venomous spiders, and those buggers will hide under your damn toilet seat.

Your worst Day, please top mine

Really, you worded your question poorly. What you're dealing with is ongoing stress, which tends to build up and make you feel like shit. But what you asked for is for people to share their worst singular day, which 9 times out of 10, will be far worse, but not ongoing. Compare having your face...

An idea for a decent in-game moral choice

That does sound good. I'll have to check that out. I personally like the endings to the original Deus Ex. Each one was justifiable, depending on who you agreed with, and they were all about making the best out of a situation that was mostly bad. Of all the (very, very few) things, Invisible War...

An idea for a decent in-game moral choice

You've all made some good points (I knew posting here was a good idea). :) How about this: the Flux proliferation is so bad that the only way you're sure to beat it is to use Flux? If you do, you cause a lot of destruction and people will hate you, but the threat is sure to be eliminated...

An idea for a decent in-game moral choice

Those are all good suggestions; I'm not saying that choices like that can't exist, but I was trying to come up with a method of integrating a moral choice into core gameplay, instead of having them be a separate mechanic. I love the Rousseau bit. That is an interesting thought. That's a hard...

An idea for a decent in-game moral choice

It's just an idea I'm running out there to see if there's some merit behind it. But that is a good point; attacking the boss once with Flux should probably be alright, assuming you're not doing something ridiculously destructive. Well, it wouldn't be a 'bad' ending, really. using all Flux...

An idea for a decent in-game moral choice

Well yeah, that's the idea. Making the 'choice' a gameplay decision rather than 'Press A to hug orphan, Press B to kick orphan'. Yeah. It's more a choice between bringing him down to a level where you can hope to defeat him, or dropping a church on his head.

An idea for a decent in-game moral choice

The boss would start up full of Flux. Deal enough damage and you'll knock some of it out of him. Once he loses enough, he loses access to his nastiest attacks. In every boss fight, they'll be special, environment-based attacked only accessible while Catalysing, like maybe throwing a cow at it or...

An idea for a decent in-game moral choice

You'd go back to your last checkpoint, and the Flux would reset to the amount there was originally. Otherwise you'd just end up making a fight that the player found hard the first time around even harder.
