You're forgetting about the one important thing.
Activision doesn't care about their customers, as long as they buy the game. It's money they care about. And guess what pirates do: They keep Activision from making money!
System Shock 2 for merging a FPS and RPG so well, and for it's use of a scary atmosphere with out turning the lights out every 5 seconds. (*cough cough* Doom 3)
Because they see gamers the wrong way, as loser nerds who only have their nerdy friends and live in their moms house at 34 years old. Which isn't the case. (Obviously)
And also the fact that a lot of people who shot at schools liked video games. (Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold come to mind...
Quantum Of Solace. From what I saw on the hands on demo from x-play the game looked awesome. Then the Demo came along and I cried. (not really though)
For a game that actually was good, Dead Space. I skipped half of school the day it came out just so I could go back to my dorm and play it...
