I would like the power to be omniscient. I could conceivably do anything because I know how to do it. 2nd choice would be the power to absorb other powers and/or energy.

A good idea to play around with is a pre/post-apocalyptic world, be it from aliens, robots, mythical creatures, government incompetence, or whatever. Just put yourself in the situation and twist the scenarios around until you get something you like. If you like it, it's easier to write about...
