Why are British people so down on Piers Morgan?

Most British people definitely know who he is and if you don't you've been living under a rock. He's not that far right. In fact, on American TV, he's accused of being a leftie. His problem isn't his political affiliation, it's literally everything else.

Dark Knight Rises Cinematographer Bashes The Avengers

The Avengers was one of the worst films this year, totally devoid of anything. Wally's cinematography may not be artistic but it's a hell of a lot classier than the Avengers'.

Im tired of "Better Graphics" being a major argument of PC vs. Console

Most console games are rendered in 720 x 1024, which is 737,280 pixels. Many PC gamers play on a 2560 x 1440 screen (or higher), and the games are rendered natively in that rez. That's 3,686,400 pixels. That's more than a "few pixels". That's over 4 times as many.

FAA Reconsidering Ban on Gaming During Takeoff

Right. Time to clear some things up... Phones - with signals - *do* interfere. As a pilot I can absolutely confirm that mobile phone signals interfere with VHF radio communication, and radio navigation. They do practically nothing with airplane mode enabled, however, and other...

    Farming Simulator 2013 Wins Gamescom

As someone who plays a fair bit of simulator games (Train & Flight simulator, although to be fair FS isn't that niche and I'm also a real life pilot so I guess it balances out) the article was a bit too barbed. Say what you want Andy, the truth is you were poking fun at the game and the...

Dark Souls Port Brings Console Problems to PC

The experience will be worse. You're much closer to the screen when playing on a PC, which is why both FPS and resolution is more important. Add this to the fact that the rez of the game wil not be native to your screen and you'll have a game that will be considerably less fun to play on PC than...

Things besides guns we should ban to give ourselves the delusion of safety

A few things: I never said that all of the security protocols make sense. They don't. They could bring the same benefit by being less heavy handed. However, they have brought results. Your hypothetical example about healthcare really isn't relevant. The security protocols went into...

Things besides guns we should ban to give ourselves the delusion of safety

The post 9/11 security procedures were enacted all around the world, and remain to this day. They were drawn up and maintained not just by the FAA but by aviation authorities all over the world, ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation), an annex of the UN that oversees airline safety...

Things besides guns we should ban to give ourselves the delusion of safety

I am not forgetting anything. The only issue here is that you have no clue what you're talking about. Yes, there have been times where the net was slipped but aircraft bombings and hijacking have dropped - no question. Yes they were rare, but they're a lot rarer now. (Actually, hickajings...

Things besides guns we should ban to give ourselves the delusion of safety

Well airport security has unquestionably made flying safer; the amount of aircraft bombed in the sky or hijacked has dropped dramatically since the post 9/11 measures were introduced.

    European Union Rejects ACTA

The EU has worked great. It's the single currency that's a bit iffy.

    European Union Rejects ACTA

Daily Mail reader? The UK has seen nothing but benefits from being in the EU... The single currency isn't working out great for them at the moment, but, I need hardly remind you, we're not part of it, and our economy would be in much, much worse shape were we not a member... Ever wondered why...
