Day of the Tentacle Remastered Due Next Year from Double Fine

"It has also been confirmed that the well-known easter egg containing the complete, original Maniac Mansion game to which Day of the Tentacle is a direct sequel..." 1. will NOT be included in the remaster? 2. WILL be included in the remaster? 3. is an incomplete sentence? 4. will be...

Silent Hill - Foggy Foundation Of Fear

Why is this column so hard to find on this site? I forgot the exact name of the column (Good Old Reviews) and thought maybe it was listed somewhere in the menus. I keep hoping it'll show up in the "Weekly Content Schedule" on the bottom of the front page, but because this column only appears...

System Shock Enhanced Edition - Wonderfully Fun And Flawed

I always liked the original SS better than SS2. I replayed SS1 two years ago, and SS2 last year, and still feel the same. SS2 is a whole lot "scarier" than SS1. The sounds of those whimpering monkeys put me right on edge every blasted time! But it was hard... TOO hard I thought. In the end...

The History of Dungeons & Dragons in Video Games, Part One

If I had to guess, this... "Based loosely on traditional Dungeons and Dragons gameplay and inspired by the Wizardry computer games" - from the link you posted. Someone last week mentioned the Buck Rogers "Gold Box" games... great classics but not AD&D licensed. I forgot about Bards Tale...

The History of Dungeons & Dragons in Video Games, Part One

I wondered this myself a couple years ago... but technically I believe the two Buck Rogers SSI games were never part of the AD&D universe, but set in their own universe created by TSR called "Buck Rogers XXVC". Maybe Stew will have more on this, but I doubt he would cover it as part of this series.

Wing Commander: Privateer - Less Than Expected

I remember reading about Privateer when it came out, and even bought it back then... but never got around to playing it. All these many years later, I tend to completely forget the progression of the WC series. Consequently, I was a little "shocked" to see the screenshots from WC:P looking so...

Lords of the Realm - Worthy of the Throne

Ha! Great game, and great review, Stew. I had to chuckle at it, though. I was hoping you would settle the age-old question... is it "Lords of the Realm" or "Lord of the Realms"? Like me, you used them both, so the answer must be "yes". :) EDIT: now nobody knows what I'm talking about...
