Despite the large number of great games that have come out for the system, I still occasionally come around some badmouthing. Although this is almost always by Microsoft fanboys, I think gamers in general can still feel some of the fallout from the system's initial bombing. What I want to know...

They are, but I just find it odd that a game that ended in sequel bait never continued into a franchise. In gaming, that seems pretty rare.

What bugs me is that they CLEARLY intended to make it a franchise, set it up, and never followed through. Nothing has ever even been remotely mentioned about it.
