This game is so linear - linear games are boring. (Linearity, is it the cool thing to hate now?)

IMO BioWare are on completely the wrong track. The "illusion" of choice (Do A the Good Thing or B the Bad Thing) crowbarred into a scripted sci-fi movie isn't a rebellion against linearity, it's a gimmick. In general I think BioWare's one of the most overrated game designers in the RPG field...

    most underrated xbox 360 games.

I think I do like this genre; and it's not usually a big one with the critics. I like hack-n-slash games that involve a lot of killing and looting. Not only was I a NINETY-NINE NIGHTS fan but I also thought BALDUR'S GATE: DARK ALLIANCE for the Xbox 1 was fantastic (now supported, albeit pretty...

    most underrated xbox 360 games.

KAMEO is another good call; like PDZ, it was well-reviewed, but it doesn't really get much love and I'd be surprised to see a sequel. Too bad, it's a really gorgeous-looking, fresh, fun, vaguely Zelda-esque game with some excellent gameplay ideas. I admit I didn't play it all the way through...

    most underrated xbox 360 games.

Also: CRACKDOWN: This game wasn't exactly badly reviewed or badly received, but I doubt it was a big enough deal that they'll make a sequel. And that's a damn shame, because Crackdown is awesome! Yeah, the enemies are all kinda the same and there's zero story -- but so what? Again, a...

    most underrated xbox 360 games.

Purely subjective of course; here's some of mine. Feel free to post yours. NINETY-NINE NIGHTS: There are certain genres that rarely review well, and one of them seems to be the action-RPG button-masher. This game got trashed by the critics, and certainly in fairness it is a repetitive...

    Improvements for Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect and Bioware are both incredibly overrated in my opinion. If I want a boring, unoriginal, PG-13-ish sci-fi story I can turn on the Sci-Fi Network. Pretty graphics, but otherwise that game was a whole lotta bland, just like the equally overrated Jade Empire before it. I quit halfway...

Why so much hate for Turn Based Games?

I like turn-based games and I wish there were more of them. I enjoy a measured, tactical pace. It's not for everyone, particularly as advances in technology open up more and more options for real-time. Western gamers in particular seem to prefer real-time. S'why we still get oodles of...
