Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

Whining for the sake of being whiney? Seriously? It matters to me because my body was mutilated and I had no say in the matter. It matters to me because one of the most personal parts of my body was irreversibly changed without any concern for my opinion on the matter. Again, yes, it has...

Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

But I was circumcised, and I do give a shit. I wish I was not circumcised; I wish I had the choice as to whether or not I was. But I will never be able to decide. Furthermore, just because some people are okay with it does not mean they shouldn't have a choice in the matter.

Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

It's in the Jewish Tanakh and in some versions of the Old Testament. I can't speak as to the Christian reasons for it.

Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

http://www.webmd.com/sexual-conditions/guide/circumcision The medical reasons are listed in this article. But again, all of the advantages gained by circumcision can be gained by other means.

Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

There's not much of a debate in Europe over it because Europeans circumcise their children less. Simple as that.

Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

It does, but simply washing your penis when you shower has the same effect. Circumcising a person for hygienic reasons is like using a jackhammer to put a nail in the wall for a painting. Furthermore, the hygienic advantage of the procedure comes much more into play once a man has reached...

Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

Exactly. The doctors would freak out if after a child's birth, the parents wanted to cut off part of the baby's earlobe, or the tip of its nose. So why is a penis any more tolerable? Just because members of a widely-accepted religion do it is -not- a sufficient response.

Poll: What do you think about circumcision?

Okay, how about this though. I'm circumcised, and I don't want to be. It's considered absolutely horrendous to circumcise a female, so why should it be any different to circumcise a male? Yes, I understand physically, the two operations are very different. But my point is this: you are...

    Minecraft ideas

A compass, or a map of some sort would be really nice. It's awful when I've been exploring across the world for 10-20 minutes only to fall into a pit or get bumrushed in a corner by a mob, and I can't find my body for the life (hurk) of me. The world really is big enough that you can walk around...

    Gaming While in College? Impossible.

*Waves* ^^ Yeah, the problem is that if I want to do something like an SC2 LAN party...I need internet. ;P I sent an email to my school's IT department, so we'll see how that goes. Might just have to find a few peeps to Minecraft with face-to-face or something along those lines.

    Gaming While in College? Impossible.

Yeah, the main reason I've always enjoyed multiplayer games-and why I still want to is because I'm able to play with friends and keep in contact with them. I understand the argument about bandwidth, but I don't think students spending hours on Facebook or porning their brains out is a more...

    Gaming While in College? Impossible.

I recently moved to Portland to start my last two years of undergrad college, and thought it would be cool to live on campus so I could meet other students, have an easier commute, etc. How innocent and ignorant I was to think that this would be a sound idea, because once I settled in to my dorm...

PC gamers, why are you here?

Fail topic. EVE Online is currently offline for a good day/two/possibly months. So, you know, I thought I might dare to maybeperhapscarefully enjoy chatting with some gamers.

Baldurs Gate fans, is Icewind Dale any good?

Yeah, Icewind Dale is very much a combat RPG. I remember spending a good two or three hours of combat before getting to an actual 'rest' kind of point. But to be fair, the scenarios really are quite well made.

Poll: GTA 4 or Fallout 3

I haven't played through GTA IV, but I feel like I've finished every little quest and special item in Fallout 3, besides two of its DLCs. Though I have to say, the ones I have played, I've loved. Broken Steel and Point Lookout are both brilliant.
