Not tech, but oblivious parent story. When Skyrim first came out, I was playing it in my room and my mother walked in. She stood behind me for a solid 2 minutes watching me play before asking me if this was "That new Angry birds game everyone keeps talking about".

I was thinking the same thing! That was one of the biggest games shown, and the Escapist only mentioned it once in the Ubisoft conference review.

Growing up with my SNES, it would either have to be Zelda: A Link to the Past or Super Mario World. I've played and beaten both of them countless times. I still play them at least once a year
