Thats fine for you, but do you create digital content for a living? If you do, like me, you will know that the lcoal food store does not share your attitude. They want you to pay for groceries, or you can't eat. So your attitude is fine, and admirable, but it does not scale to people making...

I was a senior coder at lionhead, we tested for this exact issue. I don't recall the exact stats. If you want to ignore my advice, feel free. My games load fast, I was trying to be helpful. Not sure why I bothered.

defragging is still required to get top performance, even in 2012. When I was at lionhead, we did tests rebooting, loading the game, then rebooting, defragging, rebooting again and loading the game. there was a BIG differenc in load speed. We tested it! That was under XP. Microsoft will kid...

I think I actually preferred oblivion. Skyrim seemed to be buggy, and half-assed to me. The NPCs were irritating as hell, and it seemed like there was no graphical difference at all. In fact, I recall oblivion seeming much much prettier.

Exactly my thoughts. These stories always get some decent publicity, it could well be nonsense, dreamed up to draw attention to yet another F2P MMO.

same here. I think I ended up in squad deathmatch once by mistake, but it certainly didn't have the same appeal as the rush and conquest modes.
