Escapist News Now: inFAMOUS: Second Son Interview

The original inFAMOUS was actually what drove me to get a PS3 (after that, I discovered things like MLB The Show and Uncharted which I also liked and would have gotten a PS3 for earlier if I knew how good they were). I'm happy to say that Second Son will be what drives me to get a PS4.

Concepts You Didn't Like (At First)

Games with real-time 3rd-person combat. Silly, I know, but as a little kid, they scared the crap out of me. Proably because the only games I'd played to that point were the Harry Potter Game Boy Color games (similar to Final Fantasy).

If you could separate one work from its creator, what would it be?

Other than Ender's Game (for reasons already mentioned by yourself) maybe Bioware from Dragon Age II? as a mulligan, of course. It wasn't bad, really, but it is my least-favorite of the Bioware games I've played. Let's just say Obsidian made it. I feel like I should have a way better answer, but...

    Your first "mature" game.

I'm assuming that you mean mature themes, and not just an "M" rating? If that's the case, I don't really know the answer. Anyway, Halo 2 (played at a friend's house back in elementary school) was my first M-rated game, although I was ignorant of games enough that I had no idea what was going...

    Games you wished you liked

Like some others have said, Bethesda games such as Fallout 3 and Morrowind. For some reason, I managed to like Oblivion and Skyrim, though. Grand strategy, like the recently-released Europa Universalis IV. They seem so interesting, but I just can't get into them. Total War is the closest I...

Music you'd never admit to loving: Admit it here!

Well, I love Hayden Panetiere's music, but it isn't very good. It is really catchy, and Hayden is easy on the eyes though...

    Who's your favorite anti-hero?

I would have to say Malus Darkblade, Spawn, or Darth Bane. Not really sure why...they just scream "AWESOME!!!!!" to me.

What novel should they make into a game?

I vote for David Eddings' Elenium and Tamuli and that too. Malus Darkblade could be good as well.

    Top 5 metal bands!

I would have to say Nightwish and Kamelot as my two favorite.

Lies they teach you in HIstory class

I was taught that the US pledge of allegiance was started by the founding fathers and that it always had "under god" in it, which was added in the 50's. The pledge was really started by Francis Bellamy for any country that wanted to use it. It never mentioned the US before we put it in there...

    Poll: Which is THE Trilogy?

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Trilogy/Lord of the Rings I like both a lot.

Fallout 3 - Do you own it?

I don't have it, and never will. I tried it once, but didn't capture my attention the way that Oblivion did. I also agree with Sky Captanio.

    What have videogames taught YOU???

Ok... Total War has different Empires and historical figures and factions and cities. Assassin's Creed- what Clashero said Oblivion- It helped me with aiming. That Last One- tactics in team games such as flanking and dodging DON"T TELL ME WHAT I LEARN FROM WHAT

    What's your country/state famous for?

Michigan FTW! You forgot Derek Jeter and Lindsay Tarpley (both from Kalamazoo!!!), having a place named Kalamazoo, President Ford's Alma Mater from U of M and his residence in Lansing, having a town named HELL, Vernors, Kelloggs, Harry Blackstone (Magician) I am sorry that these...
