I did leave that part out but my initial impression stands: there was no feeling of resolution or conculsion or anything that is usually associated with an 'ending'.
"What? Thats it?!" Pretty much sums up the ending of FEAR2.
FEAR 2.
Nothing ended. No bad guys died. No evil was contained. Nothing even remotely good and/or conclusive came to pass.
I'm the type who can replay games, even linear plot-twisty stories, over and over again if the game is good enough but FEAR2 hasnt been out of the box since I finished...
I just finished my first play-through and right now the only complaint I can think of is that the ending wasnt quite to my personal taste.
I'm quite happy for room to be left for a sequeal and I dont mind leaving some questions un-answered but it seems more and more games arent doing enough...
I do like Gordon, and I'm not opposed to silent protagonists in general but I find it hard to think of them as leading heroes of the industry. Games like Half Life and CoD are fantastic but they dont earn that praise through their protagonists.
It's even gotten a little weird with HL now...
Just about all the games on my laptop and 360 are either sequels or expansion packs so I'd be pretty screwed.
Bioshock, Mass Effect and Dead Space are the only games around me that arent sequels (and even then Bioshock is a spiritual successor to system shock).
As an island Britain will always have some degree of seperation but there is no denying that our history and culture is inseperably linked with that of the rest of europe. Some Britons actively consider themselves to be europeans, others prefer to think of britain as seperate but all things...
I think we've established by now that your friend is either:
A: an idiot
B: not being serious/being argumentative for the sake of it
C: being misrepresented/misquoted by you
In case C you know what your doing and I hope you got the attention you crave. In case B don't worry about it...
Self righteousness, narrow-minded flamebait or a disguised attempt at humor?
Honestly had to re-read the whole thing twice to make sure it wasnt some kind of parody against serious internet ranting... still not sure to be honest.
There was a king raven crash somehere in the middle of gears1 where people survived, cant remember if the pilot made it though.
The only crash I can remember when the pilot survived for sure was in AvP2. Survived the whole game afaik but she was only borderline red-shirt because she had lines...
Likely? Yes. Probable? Yes. Obvious? Yeah, sort of.
The only point I was trying to make was that it was not INEVITABLE. It was not certain. It was not 100% guaranteed. There are plenty of games out there from reputable developers that looked promising during development but didnt live up to...
They also claim it was because people found the VS mode too long on the normal camps. People leaving 1/2 way through and such, this new one is meant to be tailored to VS games so people can have a campaign designed for competetive action.
GTA4.
Very good game. Havent finished it. Might never.
Me and my friend spent quite a bit of time screwing around in free play, but the way you make progress in GTA works against it for me. It just felt tedious working through all the missions (having to re-start the long ones when you...
Valve is a corporation. Corporation doesnt mean "soulless gathering of evil money-grabbers who try to screw people out of their fair share"
It doesnt matter if it's a political group, a military organisation, a religion or a business company - they are all just groups of people and arent...
On the one hand I'd point out that this gives people the right to whine and ***** about other peoples opinions, politics, points of view etc etc.
On the other, I'd say that while people do needlessly complain on both sides there is a genuine issue at hand and some people really do want to...
