You'd have to mod yourself an UI, Real Life is a "cinematic" experience. The maker(s) chose to keep that out of the game.

I watched it to the end and loved it. Not my favorite, but it's high up on my list. Now, I didn't think much of the gore or nudity. They usually bother me, but in this series it uses symbolism to effectively add to that certain special Elfen Lied atmopshere. (It makes sense in my head, at least)
