Personally I've played most of the game by myself. Extra people can help you on certain parts and the game is a good deal quieter without other people. I found that the game had a great degree of challenge when you played by yourself.

Man this just made my day. I have too many memories with this game......monkey fist fights ;) Goliath from timesplitters future perfect was my favorite guy.
