Honestly? Final Fantasy VII. I saved right outside Sephiroth, and never bothered to beat him. In my defense, I'd already seen someone else do it, so there was no mystery beyond the Northern Crater.
Speaking as a Canadian, I can tell you that they are :) In fact the spelling for both our versions of english is the same. British and Canadian I mean. Which makes sense as we're part of the Commonwealth.

I'd have to say the ones from KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect (Saren not being the bad guy really) and Final Fantasy X. Both learning that Yuna has to die, and that Tidus doesn't really exist.
