I usually go with either something original that just pops into my head and doesn't sound completely ridiculous, an anagram of something that makes sense for the character, perhaps sans or plus a letter or two (such as Thels for a stealthy thief, etc.), or the name of my original RPG chracter, Rala.

It's not so much that it is a "bad" game per se, indeed the cutscenes were incredible and the minigames/missions were both callenging and enjoyable, it's just that GTA IV was hyped up as being the best game ever (or close to it), and in terms of sheer fun there are at least 20 games off the top...
