    Diablo 3. Fun but disappointing.

Just to enlighten some, as far as variety of builds in d3 for those who haven't realized it yet: In gameplay options is a toggle checkbox that lets you put whatever skill you want on whatever key/mousebutton you want. You could have 4 energy/mana/rage builders bound if you want. You could...

if you could re-do any bad movie adaptation or game adaptation, which would you choose?

The first game movie Uwe Boll got to direct which was either House of the Dead or Alone in the Dark depending on which one was greelighted first. It might have put an end to him getting any subsequent gaming movies, and thus would have saved us from lots of bad movies >.>

Are games today really that bad?

There are tons of great games coming out daily, they're just not games you can find on the shelves of Gamestop, or any other shelves for that matter. Actually look for games on the internet. Don't wait for EA or Sony to drop 1m in advertising for banners, tv spots and paid reviews on major...

What's the most overpowered attack, weapon or ability in a game?

Mr. Resetti begs to differ on the power-button ;)

What's the most overpowered attack, weapon or ability in a game?

Whatever allows you to fly in the first Scribblenauts. (solves like almost every puzzle) Max level Chemists in Final Fantasy Tactics. Seemingly innocuous, underpowered class that becomes ridiculous when almost the entire team can throw any item to any enemy/ally at any distance on any map...

    Poll: Dos Games

No Descent (mentioned earlier) is egregious. No Warcraft 1&2 (no RTS at all actually), no Blackthorne (or any other platformers), the list of games I'd rather choose is longer than the list you made.

I just got an eviction notice!? What the Hell do I do?!

Post-dating cheques is not necessarily a legal thing to do in all areas. It's not something people generally get arrested or sued over but if it ever comes up in a court case where it's important it can work against you.

If you had to pick 3 game characters for an all coming zombie apolcalypse

Ultimately I'd pick the kid from scribblenauts, but I'm pretty sure matter manipulation through spelling is a "superpower" in this context. What is or isn't a superpower? Is Sonic the Hedgehog superpowered? Is anyone from the SF series (not counting teleporting abilities) superpowered? I'd...

    Blatantly Overpowered characters

A lot Dante does is unsafe. Same with Virgil. In a game where almost every character has at least one ToD combo, and even middle-skill players can ToD at least one character on hit confirm if you still have x-factor + 2 bars any unsafe moves are.. unsafe.

    Blatantly Overpowered characters

Metaknight is banned in brawl tournies not because he is the most broken character in the game, but because he is, as everyone has identified, a far more powerful version of Kirby. MK's presence negates usage of Kirby almost entirely. It'd be like if Ryu and Ken were exact clones, except all...

Dark and Gritty VS Cartoony. Diablo 3's aesthetic. Thoughts?

Man this thread is pretty funny, and by funny I mean I remember reading it 11 years ago. The internet (what little there was of it back then) exploded because D2 dared to have OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS. Holy crap, there's so much light! The sun actually exists! The diablo series survives on 2...

So escapists, what is the oldest game you own a PHYSICAL copy of ?

I have a version of the original Pong engineered to connect to TVs through RF. Granted, that's not exactly an original release or anything, it's just an electrical engineering project built in the early 70s. (decades after it actually was invented) I've got some odyssey 2 games lying around...

    Obscure games

Had a game growing up that I can't even find a reference to on any abandonware sites: Cannonball Run. It was sort of an old donkey kong rip where a little redcoat shot a cannon ball down some platforms every so often and you had to jump them as you ascended so you could punch him in the face...
