from what ive heard theyre called hero classes cos they are litterally 'heros' in the rp role of things. so yeah, they probably are meant to be better then other classes... but i dont know, i dont work for blizzard.

With just a while since the release of WoW: WotLK it should have given you a while to play the new death knight class and check it out, hmm? So what do you think of them? Stupid idea, reasonable idea, or just plain overpowered?
