Lords of Shadow 2 made me uncomfortable with iron fellating.

Well, if she was indeed a succubus - is it not fitting she took the ultimate rod in the end? >:D Seriously though, just looks like another OTT videogame death to me. Though I can see how it would be a bit jarring if the game has taken itself super-seriously until then. Don't play dead...

    Green Man Gaming. Reliable?

Yeah i've bought several steam keys from them. Never any problems :) I'd say it was third best sales/ deals behind steam and gog.

Need a good venting game. Suggestions?

I will also 6th/7th saints row 4. I bought that game myself for very much the same reason as you OP. The difficulty is not too taxing and after the first half hour lets you run amock with a decent number of superpowers, and then very many superpowers after a few unlocks that just get more...

    Potential friendship destroying games

Perhaps the most known to me is portal 2 co op and left 4 dead co op. When your group/ partner are working like a well oiled machine its awesome. But when the dynamic just isn't working or some friends are just being a bit slow they can be the most frustrating games to play. Especially since...

While we wait for Steam's Winter Sale...

Getting deus ex directors cut on discount would be a good idea. Apparently every version except the WiiU one is pretty badly done, with way more bugs and bad optimazation than the orignal game did. I don't think they have patched it yet, or are even thinking about it :/

While we wait for Steam's Winter Sale...

I'm hoping Origin has a sale too, but for battlefield 2. I got 2142 in a sale a little while ago. Its great but the problem is the community is almost dead and those that remain are masters of the game D: Terrible for a begginner with little gear. Apparently battlefield 2 is still going...

Borderlands 2: Am I Missing Something?

I don't think you have missed anything or have down anything particularly wrong. Its just not your cup of tea. For me the whole game hangs on how much you desire loot, the constant quest for bigger and better guns. The story is very simple but is made entertaining because of the weird and...

So I Just Finished Borderlands 2 (Spoilers)

I stood on one of the brick piles in the arena... the boss couldnt even attack me it just kind of circled around and around. Bit of an anticlimatic fight XD And jack had no resistance whatsoever. Good old 15000 damage rocket launcher. Playing through the dragon keep DLC now (the only...

Name one game you wish you'd played when it just came out.

Not that many actually. I regularly play older games thanks to steam, GOG and some hardcore followings releasing patches and graphical mods (system shock 2, vampire bloodlines, thief etc). There are a few though: GTA vice city: Love the style and the story is quite good. But the combat is...

What's the difference between battlefield 4 and CoD:Ghosts?

To be honest both havn't really changed a whole lot since those two games you have played. So it depends if you want arcadey responsive infantry combat with a modern military skin (cod) Or a slightly more realistic (at least the guns have a bit of recoil) modern war game that spreads the focus...

Industry trend? the beginning of games, "in medias res"

I think its used a lot more in games because it can be a significant chunk of time to play through a game. If you don't immediatly grab a players attention, they will move onto something else. Noy many are going to want to sit through (or playthrough) several hours of set up, expsoition or a...

    XCOM Expansion to Allow Save-scumming

Hey, options for second wave is always good. Not that i've tried any yet, still trying to beat classic ironman regular XD I have a feeling i will probably beat it this time, though its probably more to do with me discovering I can save-scum by quitting to dashboard quickly... I'll play it...

Did You Find "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" Scary?

Some parts, the mad rush to wheel the gate up at the end of the first water monster. The first time you had to barricade a door to buy time to hide. The big knife man (reminded me of pyramid head a bit ^_^) The parts where you could "relive" the torture scenes were quite unsettling though...

    'Frankensteining' in Horror Games

Damn it, I knew i'd seen this "groke" before XD Yeah indie seems to be the future of horror games, which is ok in my book. Like others have said - limitations actually seem to help this genre more than in others. Less is more and all that. Also not trying to appeal to a more general market...

    'Frankensteining' in Horror Games

I think a game can do that certainly. Quite a few good horror games have already done "frankensteining" to some extent such as having surreal horror which can instantly be recognised as "that silent hill style". Evil within looks enjoyable, but already seems to be leaning on the gore-factor...
