I would take Red Dead Redemption over FFXIII any day. Typically I hate sandbox games but this one was done wonderfully and doesn't have to feel like a sandbox game if you don't want it to. On the other hand I lost interest 13 mins into FFXIII.
In most games it feel incredibly forced, though admittedly it's not breaking up the flow of a game as much as it used to. That probably has a lot to due with the fact that quite a bit of the time you have to influence certain events for it to work it's way into the plot in most recent games.
Team Fortress is amazing, and like WoW, it has a huge support network and community surrounding it. Definitely worth a shot.
Congrats on quitting though. My little brother is still addicted to it.
This was an excellent review, one I agreed with quite a bit. I'm not really a fan of sandbox games but I find this one very addicting and versatile. I'm glad I decided to pick it up and hopefully your review encouraged a few others to pick it up as well.
I'm not sure exactly... I picked it a long time ago when I was looking for AIM screen names. It doesn't mean anything at all but I like it. Because it has absolutely no meaning I've been able to get it absolutely everywhere. Pretty much anywhere you see DaysUntold it's me :)
