There was a freeware game/demo disk called "Way Cool" from around then. Thats the only one I can think of. Thats where I was first introduced to games like Castle of the Winds which I see someone else was looking for :) Great game. haha.

I have one for ya. I can only remember a few facts about the game. You were a wizard. You started with a cat. If the cat died somehow it 'angered the gods'. There was permadeath and randomly generated rooms for the dungeon. Thats it. :P Any ideas?
