A few come to mind, Suikoden 2, Wild Arms 2/3, Breath of Fire IV, Persona 4, Tales of the Abyss, SMT: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon, Legend of Legaia, Chrono Cross, but I would go with Tales of Eternia. Not the BEST RPG, J or W, out there, not by a long shot, but it's the RPG...
