Yep. Gay gamer here. I gotta wonder as to the point of this thread though. What kind of representation do we need, exactly? About the only thing I can think of is having the odd homosexual character in games. Which, err, we have. Sure there aren't many, but that'll get better gradually.

For the sake of avoiding spoilers: The story is a tangent from the events of the first game, and the way it plays, you won't have many of your former comrades at all. It fits the story, but it does mean a slightly rushed group of people to fill your party appear. (As has been noted)
