Just because I've pretty much read all the books, seen the animated shorts, played all the games, basically got my hands on everythig Halo, and I still didn't notice this break-from-canon in Reach, could you point it out to me?

I dont think the campaign was the primay intended focus of Reach, rather than it was inserting new [multiplayer] mechanics for the Halo universe.

Shame, Warrior Within was the only Prince of Persia that had a remotely enjoyable fighting system.

To be fair, the US was already involved long before Pearl Harbor. The attacks on Pearl Harbor are claimed by many historians to be retalitory attacks for US oil embargos against Japan. How well can any nation fight a war cut off from oil? An island nation no less? It was already game over...

Seriously? Is that really the game you wanted to go run out and spend your $60 on? My honest opinion is you can't go back; you can never go back. There will always be those who feel nostalgic for the way games used to be. Some people still say that Goldeneye 64 was the best FPS ever made...

Good call, this part of the game is done quite well, gave me chills every time I played it until I did the level with noclip on. After that, not so scary. :P Cliff racers in morrowind. D:
