Tembo the Badass Elephant is a Bit Desperate, Isn't it?

This is what skillful writing looks like. An entire article about the title of a game and it's pretty entertaining.

    Inside the Development of Hatfall

It's a very neat game indeed. Not the kind of game meant to be engaging for several hours, but still put a smile on my face and made me laugh quite a few times while I played. Ideal for the platforms they chose. On a slightly tangential note, the browser/casual game scenario is way too...

Here's Whats Wrong With Alone in the Dark: Illumination

Defining what it wants to be seems to be a recurring problem in lots of games. The idea of vulnerability under light could still work though, depending on how they implement it. If they wanted an action horror coop, for instance, some players could have flashlights only or something like that...

    Thief's Risky Reboot

You know, I had nothing against changing actors. I love Stephen's work but I've seen films changing actors in the middle of a trilogy, looks weird at first but when you get used it's all normal again. BUT, as Shamus said, that is the most stupid excuse for a change of actor. My god, Darth Vader...

    First Person Platforming

Nice article. Good insights and very clear ideas. A tricky question: how does racing games fit in all this? It's tricky because we tend to think everything in terms of space, position etc, so racing it might look like a precision first person game. Bare with me for a second, I have a point...

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

Woohool! I have the good ending and the better ending. How do I get the bad ending?

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

I've replayed the game to get the other ending. I'm still at the boss though. Since I criticized so much the artificial difficulty I thought I'd mention that this is not the case at this boss! I mean, it's HARD but the good kind, the kind with patterns. OK, it is a bit LONG.. it seems endless...

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

Been there. I took a couple of days off and tried again, and succeeded :) This is the hardest part of the game. When you reach the next save spot rest assured that the worst is done.

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

Well, I'm not sure I can finish it. I'm trying to beat what appears to be the last part (don't want to spoil) and I'm not very excited about trying again anytime soon. So I'll lay down my final opinion anyway. It's a solid design. Innovative in the way it takes the metroidvania gameplay, tone...

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

I agree with some of that, especially the difficulty spike. But what's wrong with the control scheme? You're not the first to mention the keys, so I'm curious. I got used to it in the first 60 seconds, a finger for each key. Also, how can the map be useless? it shows where you are and what to do...

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

That sums up my opinion perfectly. I think I'm close to the end. The game is captivating enough to keep me coming back, but the difficulty is extreme, especially with a few miles between each checkpoint.

Harm Bunnies in Yahtzee's Newest Game

Updated impression: Still an awesome game. But now it's also HHHHHHAAAARD. Very, very hard. Any clues on what artifact I should go first? (and second) I tried them all, hoping one would be the obvious easier choice, and it would give me some power that would make the others easier.. or...
