Actually what's funny is those two teams are playing again this afternoon and that umpire is working that game as well, so he had to go right back out there and face everyone haha.

I definitely wouldn't want instant replay on every close play either, that would stretch the game out too much. But if a manager could challenge once or twice a game when he saw fit, I don't think that would ruin the game at all.

I definitely agree that Selig shouldn't overturn the call and retroactively give him a perfect game. That's just wrong. But why draw the line at only home run replays? Why not extend it to close calls at first base? Aren't they equally important to the outcome of the game?

But if they put a limit on it like a max of 2 challenges per game how much longer would that really extend a game? Probably not too long.

After a perfect game was taken away last night, should the MLB introduce an expanded version of instant replay that covers more than just home runs? I say yes. Add in something similar to what the NFL has and allow managers to challenge up to 2 calls per game. It's simple and will help...
