It's gotten to a point where anyone who doesn't snipe is flamed. It's quite ridiculous.

Gameshark is my best friend, especially for games without built-in cheats. Sometimes I just want to stroll through a room full of gunmen, pick up a fire extinguisher and bash their heads in one by one, without fear of having to start over.

I have to agree. I've been sticking to games from the 90's to early 00's for quite a while now.

Twinsen's Odyssey (aka Little Big Adventure 2) for the PC. I still love that game.

Quick-time events are really irritating. They were a real slap in the face on MK: Shaolin Monks. Something's seriously wrong when you can breeze through waves of enemies only to fall to the dreaded lever.
