Best game ever made? Mount & Blade. It's severely lacking in terms of content(no plot, boring and repetitive missions etc...) but the combat is more enjoyable than in any other game I've seen. It's like Severance: Blade of Darkness(without the silly fantasy stuff and special moves) only that...

I was positively surprised that he didn't complain about the leveling system. That would've been far too easy, although I think that breaks the immersion the most.

Not perhaps the most flashy way to die, but I must admit I laughed out loud when a stegosaurus(the big fat herbivore with a small head and the insane spiky tail) pokes me to death in Trespasser. With it's snout. Not something you'd expect the thing to do.
