Like the article says, there isn't really a good way to do it. Hopefully they have some creative ways that your imported character effects the game other then basic stats.
This goes back a bit, but playing Descent (or more specifically Descent 2) so much that when I would walk I would straff around corners, got a few strange looks at schools.
I would suggest getting some cones (or cone substitutes) and set up the test yourself so you can practice it. Also, just practice all sorts of weird backing up stuff. I remember being in driver's ed and having to back up and down all sorts of very narrow winding mountain roads.
From a character point of view I like the trilogy Arbiter better, but for general badass-ness the Halo Wars arbiter is better. However, why isn't there an option for the Unforgotten Realms arbiter, Gary deserves a mention. :-)
My characters tend to be rather different then my real life. Its good to be the way you want to be, but can't because of society (people get so uppity when you start killing them and taking their loot)
We've heard this several times now, so I take it with a grain of salt. That said, if the price of the PS3 did drop $100 that would probably push me over the edge into buying one.
I would not expect it to be free. They are offering a service that costs them money (servers, maintenance, etc). Xbox live is very reasonably priced, especially if you purchase a full year (less the the cost of one game)
As long as your not looking for a strong story, and can enjoy just running down slaughtering your enemies (and innocent people) then prototype is a good time.
