This may seem a bit obvious as he's currently serving as my avatar, but to pick one, I'd go with Geno. He and Mallow would have been awesome additions to the Mario franchise if given the opportunity.
Other runner-ups include Seda from Dark Cloud, E102 gamma from the original Sonic Adventure...
The principles of AC2 are similar to AC1, but are more automatic and fluid. There's no 'Blend Button', but independant factors like Notoriaty make Blending more realistic. You still have to climb towers to view the area, but if all you want to do is Main Campaign Missions, you won't need them...
According to the FAQs on the official website ( http://masseffect.bioware.com/ [http://masseffect.bioware.com/] ) we'll be seeing the old crew again, though as permanent party members or guest appearances remains unclear.
Word about the net is that Tali and Liara on the only shoe-in...
This more or less sums it up. I think it would be harder to find a sequel that required a play-through the original game first. Most games nowadays use the sequel to update the game system and encourage more people to play it; updating the story comes more as an after thought.

I loved the original when it released, but it's difficult to go back and play now -- can't stand the obvious polygons.

Good Lord! What has this world come to! Innocence is dead, I tell you!

I've played a handful of them, but I'd no sooner call Final Fantasy a game series as much as I'd call National Lampoon a movie series. Most Final Fantasies have little to no continuty with each other, and those that do pull some kind of presumptionsuous number-dash-number title (i.e. X-2), or...
Clearly, you underestimated the escapist community :P
I honestly couldn't tell you, as I've had a controller in my hands since I was 5. If I averaged owning at least 10 games per system that we've had over the years, I'd already be breaking 120. That doesn't count any PC/Mac games, or any...
I've been looking to do an upgrade on one of my old systems too, and after this thread got me thinking about it again, I found a great combo deal at newegg.com which wasn't too far from what you were looking for. The major difference being that this only has a 2 core but has 4 GBs of RAM...
That's the part that I get hung up on. Yes, he freed the slaves - revolutionary for the US, but not for the rest of the world - but he also was involved in suppressing the South's attempt at their own revolution, keeping the nation together (which would be preserving the status quo).
If your...
