I would swing my DS which has a wrist string on it at the zombie(im holding it right now). while its stunned and recovering, I'd stretch my arm a bit and grab my gas mask filter(detached from mask) and bash its skull in until it was a unrecognizable mess, even if the zombie stopped functioning...
