Games That Affected You In Real Life? (spoilers)

Lord of the Rings Online, it affected my real life more than any other game I ever played. Got invited into a great social and raiding guild early on, and stayed there for about 5 years with a really great community. I made some friends for life there, had a girlfriend I met through the guild, I...

Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

This sounds like Hugo 3 - Jungle of Doom. Here's an image from where I think you went to jail:

Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

Hello, I am not looking for a game, but for a development movie of Neverwinter Nights, that got me hooked on the franchise. I figured this was a good place to ask about it, and I would love it if someone can help me identify and locate it :) I bought Icewind Dale from a norwegian fantasy...

Giving someone $20 in Steam games. [ENTRY CLOSED]

If this is for real then I would like: Napoleon: Total War, at 13.99 euros, which should be about 18 USD unless Steam applies the 1 euro = 1 dollar policy. And thank you for this, crossing fingers! :)

    Mississippi forgot to outlaw slavery...seriously.

I wouldn't put too much into this, there are many "hidden", strange laws out there, that makes no sense. In my hometown for example, i remember reading an article about a law that states you will be fined if you cover your face after nightfall. For example, wearing a hoodie after dark would...

Who was your FIRST Video Game Hero? And who is your Current Favorite? AND WHY!?

This person right here! He could jump, ride a boat, a motorcycle, helicopters, and generally punch anything undesirable in the mouth. What's not to love? I used to play him along with Sonic the Hedgehog, on my Sega Master System, with my friends. I'll forever remember those days with joy...

Which reviewer do you trust the most?

In my case, I dont really have to "trust" a reviewer, because I dont watch reviews of games I want to play. I do look at reviews after completing games though, as I always find it interesting to see if my opinion is shared by others. When I do, I tend to see if Yahtzee has reviewed the...

    Favorite child characters?

I tend to agree that Cartman is a well-written character, but if I look at the traits described by the OP, I find myself rooting for Butters more than I do for Cartman, who is portrayed as more of a villain than a character we are supposed to like, IMHO :D

    Favorite child characters?

Butters from South Park has to be my favourite. And I agree with Clementine and Arya being quite awesome as well.

Recommend me an up-beat and positive game!

The Book of Unwritten Tales, and its sequel, The Critter Chronicles are really fun and light-hearted. Point-and-click adventure games, if that is your preferance.

The Walking Dead Episode 5: No time Left. Your thoughts? [SPOILERS]

I couldnt make Clementine shoot me, I kept myself in denial throughout the entire ending stretch! "I can't die, we will be together, like family!" "I am sure the arm-cutting worked, the loss of blood and physical toll is what is making me weaker, not the bite!" Just because we didn't see...

Favourite Easter Eggs or Secrets in Games

In Mass Effect, when you can have a Space Hamster as a pet in the Captains Cabin. This is a reference to Minsc and Boo, from the Baldurs Gate series. If you click the hamster, it also makes the same noise as it does when you try to remove it from Minsc's inventory in the BG-game. You can...

    Time magazine's All-TIME Top 100 games

No Baldurs Gate 1/2. Nor Planescape. When the first games I look for aren't there, this is a list I don't agree with. And Angry Birds? Really? Sure, its popular and fun, but they could just as well include Wordfeud, Typershark, or any other flash game that's as addictive!
